This 23-year-old woman believes a paranormal entity has attached itself to her mother. For years, when she was a child, strange things happened when she and her mother lived together. When she was 11, she and her mother lived in a condo. Their bedrooms were both connected to the bathroom. For years, she’s struggled to sleep through the night and usually wakes up a couple of times.
“I would randomly, in the middle of the night, hear my mom’s flat iron chord hitting against the bathroom cabinets,” she said.
The noise was unmistakable because she was accustomed to hearing her mother straighten her hair in the morning while preparing for the day. Her mother also told her she could hear an unexplained scratching on her bedroom walls.
When she was 12, she started living with her father and stayed with him until she was 17. She didn’t have any other spooky experiences throughout these years, but she didn’t know if her mother continued experiencing paranormal activity while living alone.
At 17, she moved back in with her mother. During this time, her mom was married to her then-stepfather. The three of them lived in a condo, and her ex-stepfather worked the third shift.
“An old VCR player in my room randomly turned itself on and started rewinding itself, even though it was unplugged. I was almost asleep one night and felt the palm of a hand lightly slap me on the cheek twice,” she explained.
She owned a small dog back then, and her dog would often suddenly growl and run after something invisible to the human eye. On days when she went out, her mother and ex-stepfather would hear someone talking in her bedroom while they were hanging out in the living room.
Twice, in the middle of the night, while lying in bed, her mom heard a man’s voice say hi to her. Then, her mother felt as if someone she couldn’t see sat on the bed and could see part of the bed sink as if the weight of a person were sitting in that spot. After that, her mom felt the paranormal entity lift and shake her bed before setting it back down.
When she was 19, she moved out of her mother’s place and in with her then-boyfriend, now-husband. Luckily, she never encountered the paranormal again, but the paranormal entities seemed to follow her mother when she moved to a new place.
