This 24-year-old girl currently works as a nurse, and she does night shifts in a pediatric hospital. This is the very first job she got after graduating from nursing school.

She adores the kids she works with, and she truly takes her job quite seriously. At first, her job was really hard for her, as she is pretty young to be a nurse, and she has to supervise other nurses who are far older than her.

Many of her coworkers don’t like the fact that she’s the youngest yet in charge, and that led to a lot of challenges for her as she got started with her career.

However, she has one 41-year-old coworker who she hit it off with immediately. Her coworker has been at the hospital for 6 years, and she’s a single mom with two daughters the same age as her.

This coworker was one of the only people who helped her when she first began her job, and she learned a ton from her.

It’s been a year now that she has been working with her coworker, and things are great between them.

“Our work dynamic is pretty good, and we developed a nice friendship despite our age difference,” she explained.

“She’s very outgoing and has this really youthful enthusiasm about her that just makes her very fun to be around. She’s also very good at her job. Two months ago, she started going out with this doctor who works with us, and she turned into a completely different person.”

“This doctor, in particular, is known to be kind of lazy and doesn’t care too much about anything. Since she started seeing him, she has been showing up late for work, leaving things unfinished because she’s around flirting with him, and I once caught them alone in very suspicious circumstances in the empty emergency room.”

But then, last week, her coworker showed up to their shift drunk, and she admitted that she was under the influence.

She was completely terrified to hear this, as they are ER nurses who work with children. Her coworker maintained she was fine to do her job, but she refused to allow her coworker near any of the kids.

She made her coworker head to the on-call room and take a nap before telling her they could talk in the morning.

Her coworker listened, but not before asking her to keep the information she shared just between them.

“I was so freaked out. It was all I could think about during the entire 12-hour shift,” she said. “In the morning, I stayed after my shift ended and waited for the main supervisor to get there. Then I sat down with her and told her everything. ”

“My coworker was fired on that same day. She blames me for losing her job and said I betrayed her by telling my boss; she also said I ruined her life since she’s going to probably lose her license.”

“I feel bad about her losing her job and license, but I think I did the right thing; she could’ve really hurt someone.”

She’s left wondering if it was wrong of her to tell the main boss her coworker showed up drunk, which led to her losing her job.
