He Gave His Girlfriend An Ultimatum And Dumped Her For Not Shaving Her Legs And Armpits
This 25-year-old man and his girlfriend have been dating for nearly two years. At the beginning of their relationship, everything was going smoothly. He couldn’t see anything he didn’t like about his girlfriend.
Not long after they started dating, they were discussing likes and dislikes, and he mentioned that he wasn’t a fan of body hair on women and found it unattractive.
He clarified that his only pet peeve was about body hair on the armpits and legs and didn’t mind it anywhere else.
While he isn’t bothered by minor stubble or if it’s grown out a little, he doesn’t like when women allow their armpit and leg hair to grow out more than that.
“She didn’t mind that I had preference because she told me she doesn’t like the sensation of body hair on her,” he said.
His girlfriend stopped shaving a while ago, so she has body hair now. He thought her armpit and leg hair resembled his, and she didn’t shave for months. Because it bothered him, he asked her why she wasn’t shaving anymore.
He didn’t demand that she start shaving again, but he just asked her to find out if there was a reason why she hadn’t been doing so lately.
In response, she told him she stumbled across a TikTok on body positivity, and the video gave her the confidence to embrace her body hair.
“I tried to like it, but I can’t. It doesn’t look good. I finally told her straight up that I didn’t find it attractive. She didn’t like that and said she doesn’t want me to be like ‘one of those men,'” he explained.

He countered that he’d dump her if she didn’t start shaving again because he didn’t think she was attractive with body hair, and his girlfriend was furious. She told him no woman would shave daily to make him happy or comfortable.
However, he pointed out that he never wanted her to shave daily and was fine with some stubble.
His issue was with long-term periods of his partner not shaving, and he repeatedly told her that he was not comfortable with women who have grown out their body hair leading up to his ultimatum.
“It’s extremely long and not taken care of, and I cannot be forced to like it. I decided to break it off with her. She did not take it lightly and decided to insult me and threatened to break my stuff,” he shared.
Eventually, his girlfriend left their place to stay with her mother. In hindsight, he realized it was wrong to give her an ultimatum, so he understood why she’d been so angry with him.
Upon reflection, he didn’t regret his decision to end the relationship and for them to go in separate directions.
