He Upset His Teen Twin Daughters After He Made Toasts For Both Of Them At A Celebratory Dinner That Was Only Intended For One

Ava recently received a 100% grade on some important coursework, which will positively impact her college applications.

Ava was really proud of herself, and he and his wife were too, so they decided to take her and their family out for a celebratory dinner with relatives.

“We raised a toast for Ava during the meal, and I could tell how happy she was,” he recalled.

“After this was completed, I decided to [make] a toast to Isabel. I said how hard she was working and that we knew she’d go to the college she dreamed of, and we were just as proud [of her]. Isabel seemed happy, and I didn’t think there was any issue. When we got home, Ava was really annoyed at me.”

Ava accused him of invalidating her achievement by shining a light on Isabel even though she hadn’t done anything to deserve it. He told Ava she was being unfair and wanted to ensure Isabel didn’t feel less valuable.

Ava said that was a “lame excuse” and that if Isabel wanted the same praise she gets, she should work harder and do something worthy of it.

“When I spoke with my wife later, she agreed with Ava, saying that Ava deserves to be celebrated in her own way without feeling like she’s ‘one person’ with Isabel,” he added.

How can he make things right with Ava?
