Less than one year ago, this 30-year-old man got married to his 32-year-old wife, and they dated for three years before tying the knot.
He says his wife truly is wonderful in every way you can imagine. She's sweet, she's gorgeous, she has a stable personality, and she doesn't speak badly about a single person.
She also doesn't like to pick fights with him or anyone, really, and she's the perfect example of a friend and daughter.
His wife is basically amazing to every single person she meets, and he does feel super supported by her.
"But here's the issue: she gets visibly upset with me over small things, prioritizes others over our time together, doesn't take my opinions seriously but suddenly finds them valid when someone else suggests them, and frequently cancels our plans to help her unemployed family who live nearby," he explained.
It's not that it upsets him to help out his wife's family; it's the fact that it happens all the time to the point where it's exhausting to him.
His wife's sister, her sister's family, and her parents don't have jobs. His wife's parents are retired, and her sister is a stay-at-home mom.
While his wife's loved ones are able to get out of their own ways, they don't, and his wife cancels plans that they make to go help her family all the time.
How involved his wife is with her family comes at the expense of their own relationship and marriage.

"This dynamic takes a toll on our life aspirations, as I aim for significant career growth while she dreams of building a homestead and living on a farm, which we currently own," he said.
"The farmhouse was purchased by her a few months before we met, and while we renovated it together after moving in, I find it difficult to feel comfortable there. Every decision about the house seems to be influenced by her family's preferences, leaving me feeling unattached to the space. I end up disliking much of what we've done to it, from the walls and floors to the new extensions."
"Financially, she's careless, which I'm unable to address. Despite us both working, I earn slightly more than her. We opened a joint account at her request after marriage, a decision I now regret. Previously, I saved 30-40% of my salary after expenses, but her spending habits prevent me from doing so now. She buys things recklessly, and I find myself unable to save as I used to."
For example, his wife has been sending her dad money every single month so he can eventually build a garage, and this negatively impacts their own finances.
They don't have the money or the time to go on vacation together or do anything fun for themselves.
And looking at the long-term, he has a lot of goals, but his wife has no ambition. He wants to improve his life, but she isn't interested in that.
His wife will say she supports all of his dreams, yet gets irritated when he spends time to studying or working to attain his goals.
She then says he neglects their marriage. But, in between studying and holding down a full-time job, when he does attempt to make time for his wife, she cancels on him at the last moment for silly reasons.
She will say she has to go grocery shopping with her family members, which leaves him feeling worn out and like his wife doesn't appreciate him.
His wife also isn't affectionate with him. She doesn't even try to cuddle or hold his hand, and this makes him feel rejected.
He thinks he's pretty good-looking, but now his self-esteem has plummeted, and he's not sure why he's still in this marriage.
"I'm left wondering why I married her in the first place, as I feel trapped in a situation where divorce seems inevitable but financially complicated," he concluded.
What advice do you have for him?
