His Estranged Father Randomly Reached Out And Asked Him To Invest $30,000 In A New Business, And Now He’s Getting Called Callous For Refusing To Hand Over The Funds

“And my dad seemed to be only interested in my cash and not in getting to know me or making up for missed time,” he explained.

So, he ultimately refused to invest in his dad’s business and said he simply wasn’t comfortable handing over so much money. His dad didn’t take the news well, either, and became really defensive.

“Accusing me of harboring grudges and denying my dad an opportunity to be a part of my life,” he revealed.

Plus, he even started receiving angry text messages from family members he hardly knew, and they also called him out for being “callous” and not supporting his dad.

So, on the one hand, he feels like his dad just tried to take advantage of him. Still, on the other, he can’t help but wonder if refusing to fund his dad’s business was really such a jerky move.

Do you think his dad had a right to show up out of the blue and get defensive when he wouldn’t invest $30,000 in a new business? Would you have reacted any differently in his shoes?
