So, it’s a breath of fresh air when you finally meet someone who is mature, polite, and straightforward about their intentions.
TikToker Jenna (@yeehawjenna) is talking about the best date cancelation text she has ever received from a guy.
It was so well-crafted and respectful that she immediately decided she would use the same message for her future dating endeavors.
She added that it was a rare green flag, and it made her open to going on a date with him if he ever changed his mind about her later on. Then, she proceeded to recite what he had written to her.
“He was like, ‘Hey, I’ve been thinking a lot, and there’s someone else who I’ve been going on dates with, and I kind of just want to see that through.'”
Jenna explained that she liked how he was not afraid to direct more of his focus and energy toward one person with whom he was building a genuine connection.
She appreciated that he engaged in clear communication, even if it did leave her a little disappointed. It was much better than the usual alternative of ghosting.
With ghosting, it’s easy to assume that the other person will get the hint, but it becomes old pretty quickly.
