“She said she had acted badly towards me because seeing me reminded her of her mistake, and she couldn’t handle the guilt, so she lashed out at me. I had too many questions, but I was so suspicious I couldn’t even get emotional.”
“The next Monday, my wife went to work and took our son to daycare, and I took sick leave. My wife was using a messaging app to contact A. She’s not tech-savvy, but I knew that this app uses local data storage. Meaning that even if she erased messages on the phone app, they stay on the PC app, which she also has. So I had hope to find the truth.”
He hopped on his wife’s computer, located her conversation with A, and went back to see what was going on.
He instantly discovered tons of steamy videos, messages, and photos, which made him sick. His wife had sent selfies to A of her in their bathtub, saying she was thinking of him. She also sent mirror selfies when they were on vacation with their son.
He knew he shouldn’t have done this, but he watched a couple of the videos his wife had sent to A, and she was a totally different person.
She was enthusiastic, and doing things he had never seen her do before. He could see his wife was more attracted to A than him.
He went back eight months and still was hit with tons upon tons of messages. He ended up printing everything out.
“I was crying and breathing hard and wanted to jump out of the window. I just wanted my son but didn’t want him to be around me in this state,” he added.
“After I calmed down, I looked at the text logs and found out the worst part. She had lied about ending it with him. Their most recent messages showed A had told my wife he wanted to end their relationship.”
“She didn’t accept at first and kept asking why, and he said he had another girlfriend he wanted to get serious with. She begged him, acted sad, and then got angry with him, but he told her that if she kept bothering him, he’d send me their pictures and videos. These last message dates coincided with her behavior change. So she was not upset with herself as she claimed; she was upset because she got dumped.”
His wife’s affair went on for about a year, so it was hardly a one-night fling like she had told him initially.
