She Said She Cannot Marry Her Fiancé Until He Goes To Therapy Since He Keeps Taking Every Story She Shares, Retelling It To Other People, And Claiming It As His Own

Despite this proof, her fiancé accused her of attempting to make him seem insane. He then claimed that Mr. Demos’ photo wasn’t in his yearbook because he didn’t begin teaching in his district until the following year.

She has been processing their argument for the last two weeks and still feels uneasy about her fiancé’s behavior. It frustrates her that her fiancé repeats stories she tells him and believes they are his own life experiences.

She’s concerned that he’ll begin doing the same thing with the trauma she’s gone through or other more painful memories.

Two nights ago, she expressed to her fiancé that she wouldn’t be ready to marry him until he went to therapy to learn why he does this, adding that it annoys and worries her.

In response, he repeated that she was attempting to make him seem insane and accused her of “gaslighting” him. He also called her a narcissist. Now, she wonders if she’s insane for being upset.

What advice would you give her?
