Cowboy Bob The Robber Successfully Committed Five Large-Scale Bank Robberies In The 90s

When the FBI tracked Peggy Jo down, they expected to encounter a modern-day Bonnie and Clyde couple.

Peggy Jo must be Cowboy Bob’s young, wild girlfriend who acted as his getaway driver. However, they arrived at Peggy Jo’s house to find a maternal, middle-aged woman who lived with and took care of her sick mother.

The FBI agents questioned her, and after searching her home, they found the getup that Cowboy Bob wore during his robberies.

Former FBI agent Steve Powell also noticed a thin line of glue above Peggy Jo’s upper lip and flecks of gray dye in her hair.

He put two and two together, realizing that she was Cowboy Bob. They discovered that the bank robberies started after her mother fell ill.

Peggy Jo was arrested and convicted of three bank robberies. She served three years in prison. When she was released, she relocated to a small town and began working at a marina.

She had a nice, quiet life and was loved by the community. But soon, she grew bored and decided to rob a bank one last time.

However, she was careless and didn’t notice the dye pack that the teller had slipped in with the cash.

As she headed back to her RV, the dye pack went off. The police chased her down, and when the RV stopped, the officers jumped out of their vehicles with their guns.

Peggy Jo pointed a toy gun at them, which looked real, causing the police to open fire. She was killed instantly, ending the crime spree of Cowboy Bob.
