If your teen daughter is about to have something taken away from her by the woman who's casting herself as an evil stepmom, do you owe it to your child to say something and stand up for them?

A decade ago, this woman got divorced from her now ex-husband, Kyle, after she discovered that he had cheated on her while she was pregnant with their daughter, Luna, who is currently 11.

Following the divorce, she never spoke to Kyle about a single thing that didn't involve Luna. Kyle is an amazing dad to Luna, and she is grateful for that.

They split custody of Luna, and she has her for one week before Kyle gets her for the following week. She kept their home amid the divorce, and Kyle purchased a duplex located close by, so Luna doesn't have to travel far.

A bit more than two years ago, Kyle began dating a woman named Wendy, and he has two kids with her.

"I’ll never tell my daughter this, but I don’t care to know much about Kyle’s personal life (unless it affects our daughter)," she explained.

"I’ve met Wendy because she moved in with them, and I did my due diligence, but [as] I said, Kyle is a great dad, and I’ve never doubted that he has Luna’s best interests at heart, so I trust who he would be with."

"[I] believe I’ve done a good job of making Luna know that she can tell me or talk to me about anything, and that I’m always on her team no matter what. But I do have her seeing a therapist once or twice a month to talk to as well. My parents are divorced, and growing up, I hated [talking] about one parent to the other, so I want her to have a neutral outlet for that."

Last week, Luna started asking her some bizarre questions, like if her room would no longer be her room one day or when she would quit living in her house.

Luna then revealed that Kyle and Wendy outgrew their townhouse, so they're shopping for a larger home. Luna had apparently questioned Wendy about having her own room in the new house, and Wendy told her she could sleep in their guest room.

She reassured Luna that she probably hadn't correctly heard Wendy, but Luna said no, Wendy was serious about not allowing her to have her own bedroom.

She then wanted to know if Luna had approached Kyle since she was so upset, but Luna stated that she did not want to do that and quickly changed the topic.

She didn't want to force Luna to talk about it further, and Luna did have a session with her therapist following that chat, so she figured it would resolve itself.

"But she asked me about it again [on] Sunday before Kyle picked her up. I think in this instance it should be on Kyle to fix the issue, because obviously I have Luna's best interests at heart, but I don’t call the shots in the other house lol," she said.

"I mentioned it to him, and he assured me she must have misheard or misunderstood, but said he’d talk to her. Problem solved! Except last night, I got a rude...text from Wendy, basically telling me to stay out of their business and stop asking my daughter about their house."

"When I didn’t respond, she sent some more rude stuff about me that was either untrue or out of line. I simply muted her, but [I] just feel really weird about everything today. I know she just had the new baby, and I’m sure [she's] pretty emotional right now, but that doesn’t excuse her from saying that to my daughter, and if I were seeing someone who said those things to her, I would want Kyle to tell me."

She took screenshots of everything Wendy said to her and forwarded them to Kyle, who said sorry and promised to handle Wendy.

She's left wondering if she was somehow out of line for going to Kyle in the first place.

I think she did the right thing, sticking up for Luna, because Kyle should know that Wendy is acting like a witch, and I can see why Luna felt uncomfortable saying something alone.

It's always a mom's job to protect their child!
