If you thought dry turkey was the worst thing that could happen on Thanksgiving, here’s a story that will make you grateful that subpar food is your worst problem.
While TikToker Angelina (@officiallytheangelina) was scrolling online through the pages of military spouses, she came across a post about a guy who cheated on his wife during Thanksgiving.
The wife had been out of town for the holiday, presumably expecting her husband to spend Thanksgiving like any normal person: eating leftovers, watching football, and swiftly passing out on the couch from a food coma.
Instead, he brought his mistress into their home. Once she found out about the affair, the wife understandably reached out to the mistress.
Rather than apologize or react with embarrassment, the mistress reportedly had the audacity to ask to see her marriage certificate for proof that she was married to the man.
At the time, the mistress was actually with this woman’s husband, so the wife knew the mistress must’ve noticed the framed family photos hung up around the house, as if that wasn’t glaring enough evidence.
The request was confidently unhinged and delusional behavior.
After the confrontation, the mistress deleted her social media and blocked the woman. Then, she proceeded to pop back up online and post a bunch of TikTok videos featuring this married man.
Nothing shows a lack of shame like turning your affair into content.

According to the story, it’s unclear what happened between the husband and wife, whether the wife stayed, left, or started fresh. Whatever the case, cheating on your spouse, especially during a holiday, is diabolical.
Cheating already fractures trust and leaves partners grieving their relationship. But bringing the affair into the home and mocking the spouse by demanding proof of the marriage adds a layer of cruelty that leaves lasting emotional damage. That’s just a different level of villainy.
A 2023 survey from a dating site called Datingroo revealed that more people tend to cheat during the festive season. When alcohol and social gatherings come into play, they can create the perfect recipe for infidelity to occur.
The holidays may come with scandal, but they always end up bringing out the truth, even when people try to hide behind lies. A few TikTok users shared their thoughts about the situation in the comments section.
“Eww, weird behavior. Proof that they are married, as if someone jokes about being married on the casual,” commented one user.
“It also makes it so much worse when the mistress knows, like, girl, you’re so weird for that!” exclaimed another.
If you ever think your holiday went poorly, at least nobody asked to see your marriage certificate while sitting in your marital home surrounded by all your belongings.
