For TikToker @abscaff, a long, seemingly happy marriage somehow turned into a mess basically overnight. She and her husband had been together for over 17 years. They had a house, kids, and everything they ever wanted. She thought she was the luckiest person in the world.
But one night, her husband was acting a little off. When she asked him what was wrong, he denied that there was anything wrong. He told her that she was the problem and just walked out.
She asked him if there was someone else, and he revealed that he had been talking to someone else, but nothing had happened between them.
That night, he went to stay at a friend’s house. The following morning, he texted her, admitting that he had not gone to a friend’s house at all.
Instead, he was at the house of the girl he had been seeing and did not plan to return home.
“He still denied that anything had happened and that they were just talking,” she said. “Obviously, in the days and weeks that followed, I found out a…lot. And, it actually all started five years ago.”
Five years ago, when they first moved into the house, she noticed that he was on the phone late at night. He told her that he wasn’t speaking to anyone. It turned out he was lying, and he had been talking to this girl.
At the time, she found the girl on social media and messaged her. The girl told her it was all in her head and that she was just friends with her husband.
But over the next few years, @abscaff had a gut feeling that there was more to the story.

“I had spoken to so many people; nobody had a nice word to say about this girl,” said @abscaff. “They told me stories of similar things she’d done in the past, and that feeling never went away.”
At the end of 2023, the girl’s fiancé left. A few months later, she restarted a relationship with @abscaff’s husband. He has been living with her ever since.
After a couple of weeks, he regretted moving out and wanted to try working on their marriage. @abscaff was willing to do whatever it took to get her old life back.
Unfortunately, he left again and went back to live with the girl.
“I just don’t understand any man or woman who pursues someone who is married and has young kids,” she said.
“They are the worst type of people in the world, and then they have the nerve to go around acting like the victims and don’t like the backlash that they’re getting from that.”
Sadly, many TikTok users could relate, and they shared their own experiences with being cheated on in the comments section.
“My husband did it for a year. We had been married for 16 years, and she knew we had a child. He was my best friend and love of my life, but he turned into a horrible monster,” commented one user.
“Same thing happened to me after 20 years and three children. I had no clue. Blindsided. 14 years later, I could not imagine being with him. You will get through this,” stated another.
“My husband of 13 years cheated with my best friend. Told me it was all in my head and that when I found proof, I pushed them together, but after three years, she cheated on him, and he was heartbroken,” wrote a third.
