Since May 17, 2010, Jackson Miller has been missing. His car was found abandoned near the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, California.

He left behind his wallet, iPod, and cell phone. At the time of his disappearance, he was 19 years old, living in Cupertino, and a student at DeAnza College. He was just a month shy of his 20th birthday.

According to his family, Jackson was suffering from anxiety and depression. Before he disappeared, he hadn’t been taking his medication and had been experiencing sleepless nights and increasingly erratic behavior.

The surveillance cameras did not capture anyone jumping from the bridge that day. Additionally, no bodies were found in the bay.

No suicide note or keys were discovered in Jackson’s vehicle, and he hadn’t been carrying any cash, credit cards, or form of identification when he went missing.

In the days after his disappearance, there have been several possible sightings of him in the Fisherman’s Wharf area. His family believed he might’ve been staying at a shelter in the area. Eventually, the case went cold.

More than a decade later, in March 2021, Jackson was reportedly spotted at a Target in Woodland, California. A woman told authorities that she was smoking in the parking lot of the store when she was approached by a stranger.

He asked her for a cigarette and a ride to Sacramento. When she turned him down, he asked her to call an Uber for him. He claimed to be a missing person and identified himself as Jackson.

Video footage from Target showed the man entering the store. He was wearing shorts and later exited in a different outfit. He was dressed in a dark green sweater and black pajama pants with green shamrocks.

His face was partially covered by a blue face mask.

Later, a business owner in the area reached out to authorities, saying that a man matching Jackson’s description had come into the store asking for a ride to Los Angeles.

After no one offered to help, he left the store. Detectives also interviewed an Uber driver and reviewed the company’s trip logs, but they did not turn up any leads.

Jackson would be around 35 years old today. His parents described him as an intelligent, strong-willed, and private person. He played sports as a teenager and excelled in swimming, soccer, wrestling, and track and field.

To this day, Jackson’s parents believe that he did not jump off the Golden Gate Bridge.

“At least, it wasn’t 100 percent that he jumped,” said Jackson’s father, Paul Miller. “And it looked like he was still in the area for a few days, and who knows what happened after that.”

Jackson has brown hair and blue eyes. He is five feet and 10 inches tall and weighs between 150 and 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black and white T-shirt, a black hoodie, khaki shorts, and beige slip-on shoes with white soles.

If anyone has any information regarding Jackson Miller’s whereabouts, they are urged to contact the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office at 408-808-4500.
