After the news came out of a woman getting her diamond earring stolen from a luxury spa in Dallas, Texas, in December 2022, TikToker Anishta (@anishta_) now feels compelled to share her own unsettling experience with theft at the very same spa. The incident has haunted her ever since.

She went to the spa on her birthday, wearing an evil eye necklace that her mom had gifted her. It was the most beautiful diamond necklace.

Not only was it shiny and expensive, but it also had sentimental value. Like many spa guests, she was instructed to remove her jewelry and place it on a tray before her massage, which was standard procedure. No red flags were raised there.

But when her massage was over, her necklace was nowhere to be found. Confused and alarmed, she demanded to know what had happened.

The masseuse told her that she had never taken off the necklace and even showed her the empty tray. She advised Anishta to check the locker room or the lobby. She didn’t remember Anishta wearing the necklace at all.

“I actually believed her,” Anishta said. “I was like, maybe that’s true. You know, she seems so nice. Also, my sister came with me to get a massage. I don’t think anything was taken from her.”

So, she informed the front desk about her lost necklace and searched the spa. Sadly, she never got the necklace back. Her mom was pretty upset when she learned what had happened.

What was meant to be a relaxing birthday treat turned into a lasting lesson. According to Anishta, downtown Dallas isn’t the way it used to be.

Now, you have to watch your back wherever you go, no matter how upscale the environment. You can’t be too careful. The experience has changed how she views safety in high-end spaces.

In the comments section, multiple similar stories surfaced. Many people are questioning how these incidents are being handled.

“At this point, the rumors are true because it’s been consistently diamond jewelry. And do you know how easy it is for them to simply review the surveillance footage to see if you were wearing it before going into the massage room?” pointed out one person.

“My friend also got her earrings stolen a week or two ago. They gaslighted her and kicked her out,” shared another.

“Got my gold Tiffany necklace stolen. It was a gift from my late father before he passed. It was so dainty, I fully believed her too that it had fallen off,” wrote a third.

“They asked me to remove my three-carat diamond ring and earrings. I told them no, my hands and ears have nothing to do with this massage. They insisted, but I said no again. I heard about this after I visited the Joule in July. Keep your jewelry on, ladies,” chimed in someone else.
