Seventeen years later, TikToker Sara Beth (@sbiery) has found out that she doesn’t know who her husband really is. They were high school sweethearts, and about seven years ago, he confessed to having an affair with his intern.
She chose to stay and work on their marriage. She got pregnant very shortly after finding out. Part of the agreement for her staying in the marriage was that he had to be transparent about everything and leave his work phone out in the open.
But then, he started doing things that were triggering her again. He kept leaving his work phone in the car and going into work on his days off. When she confronted him about it, he told her that he was not having an affair.
He had never once told her that he was unhappy in the relationship or that he had fallen in love with someone else. He kissed her goodbye every single morning and told her that he loved her every single night.
They even did these relationship quizzes and would talk about their answers afterward.
“Like, we were continuing to invest in our relationship, and literally overnight, like one day, we’re holding hands, we’re playing games, we’re going out as a family…and then, the next moment, he wakes me up at two in the morning to tell me that he’s had an affair for the last year,” said Sara Beth.
After he confessed to this most recent affair, she is now starting down the road of divorce because she realized she can no longer trust him.
In the comments section, many TikTok users shared similar stories of the cheating and betrayal they experienced from their own spouses.

“I stayed in mine for 19 years, knowing he was having indiscretions. I didn’t think they were more important than my marriage. Here’s what I learned. There is nobody on this earth worth sacrificing your peace for. No one,” stated one user.
“I stayed too. Happened again six years later. I missed the signs. He lied, and I believed him. Both were women he worked with. Married 19 years,” commented another.
“My husband of several years gave me red roses and a beautiful Mother’s Day card saying how much he loved me, and the next month, he asked for a divorce. He had been seeing a coworker. I will never marry again. I cannot go through that ever again,” wrote a third.
“Just found out the week before Valentine’s that my husband is having an affair. She posted the gifts he got her. We got along great. I was completely caught off guard,” added someone else.
