The worst date that TikToker @naash.fm has ever been on actually started out as the best date. This guy picked her up and took her out to eat at a nice restaurant on the Lower East Side.
He had even made reservations. She was thoroughly impressed by his initiative and the fact that he had a car.
They ordered drinks and an appetizer to share. The conversation was going well. They decided to get another round of drinks before their entrees arrived. When their food came, they ended up getting a third round of drinks as well.
After they ate, he asked her if she wanted any dessert. They ordered a chocolate lava cake to share. Finally, the server set the check on their table.
She applied her lip gloss and waited for him to pick up the check, but he wasn’t making any move to reach for it. She thought that he wanted to stay and chat a little longer because some people liked to do that.
After 15 minutes, their conversation began to dwindle. Before he got up to use the restroom, she suggested that he put his credit card down to pay the bill.
He acted confused, and it came to light that he thought @naash.fm would be covering the meal.
“This is our first date, and this is a date that you initiated, and this is a restaurant that you chose, and these are reservations that you made,” she pointed out.
“You picked me up, and you brought me here; therefore, you have to pay.”

They argued back and forth briefly about who should pay for the date. He glanced at the check, told her that the total was $160, and instructed her to take care of the bill while he went to the bathroom.
She then pulled out her phone and claimed that she was transferring funds from her savings account to her checking account. He stated that he would pay for their second date.
It was bold of him to assume that a second date was even in the realm of possibility after this whole debacle.
He was also under the impression that she would take care of the bill while he was in the bathroom, but she was actually just ordering an Uber.
She went up to the front of the restaurant and informed them that her date would be paying the check and would even tip 30%.
Finally, she jumped in the car and left. Everyone in the comments section praised her for not giving in and paying.
“His logic makes no sense! He made the reservation and chose the spot,” pointed out one user.
“He’s playing checkers, and you’re playing chess!! Great move,” exclaimed another.
“I would have called the waiter back over and asked them to split the check,” stated a third.
