A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder
A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder is based on the 2019 YA mystery novel of the same name by Holly Jackson. Five years after the disappearance and death of Andie Bell (India Lillie Davis), a popular high school senior, was solved, 17-year-old Pip Fitz-Amobi (Emma Myers), who is now a senior herself, isn’t so sure the case was that simple.
Andie Bell was seemingly murdered by her boyfriend, Sal Singh (Rahul Pattni), who then took his own life. Pip decides to conduct an investigation of her own to find out what really happened.
Dark Winds
The crime thriller Dark Winds is based on Leaphorn & Chee, a novel series by Tony Hillerman. Zahn McClarnon plays Joe Leaphorn, a tribal police lieutenant in a town in Navajo County called Kayenta. Most of the cast is also Indigenous. The show’s timeline is set in the 1970s and follows Joe as he investigates crimes on the reservation.
The Sinner
In each season of The Sinner, Detective Harry Ambrose (Bill Pullman) investigates a different crime while dealing with his own problems. The Sinner is unique because the murderer is revealed right in the beginning, so the mystery to solve is why someone would commit such violent acts.
