After going on the worst date ever, TikToker Lauren (@laurenh_e) had to take a two-month break from dating altogether. In college, she met a guy while she was at a blind date party consisting of 15 guys and 15 girls. They were all paired up randomly.

Lauren’s blind date was a tall man. He was 15 minutes late picking her up. He walked her to the passenger side of his car. She thought he was going to open the door for her, but he really just had to grab a pile of junk from the seat and throw it in the back of his car.

“For context, this was an hour and a half,” said Lauren. “So, we are at the house, the guy picks us up, takes us on a date, and an hour and a half later, we are back at the house for a girls’ night. And the guys were supposed to have a plan for the date and execute that plan. Every other guy did.”

After a few minutes of driving, she asked him where they were going. He finally admitted he didn’t have a plan. She suggested that they go out to dinner since it was already 7 p.m.

He didn’t have any favorite spots because he didn’t go out to eat. When she pointed out a nearby pizza place, he refused to turn the car around to get there.

At that point, Lauren was ready to head home, but the date had barely even started. They ended up deciding on a Mexican restaurant. On the walk to the restaurant, he picked the leaves off every single tree they passed.

Once they were seated in a booth, he proceeded to make fun of his neighbor, who was a person with special needs. The subject had come up when Lauren talked about how she was originally a special education major.

Then, he started making fun of Hispanic people and mimicking their accent. There was a Hispanic couple sitting in the booth behind them, so he turned around, apologized to them, and continued.

Throughout the date, he kept making blonde jokes, except they didn’t actually seem to be jokes because of how aggressive his tone was. Overall, he mentioned something about her being blonde a total of seven times.

Lauren wanted to disappear into thin air. After about an hour and a half, they headed back to her sorority house. While they were driving, he stopped at a red light at a major intersection.

All of a sudden, he stepped on the gas pedal and sped through the intersection, laughing like a maniac.

Lauren screamed in fear, thinking they were going to get into a terrible accident. Luckily, they survived. When they pulled up to her sorority house, she whipped off her seatbelt and jumped out of the car.

“I don’t give him the chance to get my Instagram, Snapchat, number, nothing,” said Lauren. “So, I think that’s the end of it. Because how could you think that went well? How do you think that was a good date?”

An hour or two later, she received a message request from him on Instagram. She never responded or followed him back. She also took a much-needed break from dating.
