Do you think it's ever a reasonable request for your partner to want to have another child with their ex? Would you be worried that your partner was already cheating on you if they asked for permission to do this?
This 29-year-old woman has spent more than two years in a committed relationship with her 30-year-old boyfriend. Now, her boyfriend is a dad and has a child with his ex, but they have no kids together.
Today, her boyfriend asked her out of nowhere if she would allow him to have a second baby with his ex, and she felt blindsided by the request.
"His reasoning is that his son will grow up without any full siblings, and that’s not fair to him. He also mentioned how I have said I won’t have a child with him until we are married, which will be a few years from now, so his son would be way older than his half-siblings," she explained.
"I told him I understand, but no, I would not be okay with that, and if that’s the route he chose to go, then I would remove myself from the situation entirely."
"He got upset with me for saying no and told me I’m selfish and simple-minded and that he’s just thinking of his son. For a little additional context, his son’s mother and I do not get along at all."
This woman actually harassed her so aggressively that she got a restraining order against her. While she does get why her boyfriend wants a full-sibling for his existing child, she finds it wild that he thinks she would say yes.
There's nothing that will ever get her to agree to letting her boyfriend make another baby with his ex. She loves her boyfriend with all of her heart, but she's left questioning their relationship.
She's wondering if it would be wrong of her to dump her boyfriend over his request.

I can't believe she didn't break up with him as soon as the question left his mouth. On top of that, the fact that he got mad at her and said she was selfish is so beyond crazy to me.
She absolutely should walk away from him now. I am worried he already got his ex pregnant, and that's what's behind all of this.
What do you think?
