In October 2022, TikToker Rebecca’s (@life_of_a_texas_momma) husband came home one day and asked for advice about a high school girl who was having troubles at home. From there, everything just spiraled. At the time, he was 26 years old, and he was working with this girl.
She started texting him all the time. By the end of October, she had run away from home and couldn’t be found. She didn’t answer the phone or show up for work. It was Rebecca’s birthday, and she spent her birthday driving around town looking for this girl. Finally, they found her.
The following day, Rebecca helped her move out of her mom’s house and into her own. She let the teenager stay in the guest bedroom.
When they were packing up the girl’s things, her mother kept shouting nasty things at her own daughter, even calling her a homewrecker.
A couple of weeks later, Rebecca’s family flew in to visit them. They took their annual family photos, but her husband refused to be a part of them. He has never liked taking family photos, so she didn’t think much of it. They had been married for four years by then.
The week after her family went back home, he told her that he wanted a divorce and did not want to elaborate any further. Rebecca was still unaware of the affair, but she had her suspicions.
A few days later, her husband passed out in the bathroom at work. She rushed to the emergency room to be by his side. She used his phone to ask his coworkers what had happened. That was when she came across a texting app, where he had been texting with the high schooler.
She took pictures of the messages with her own phone and confronted the high schooler, who tried to play dumb. Rebecca told her to pack her stuff and get out of her house.
“She never showed up,” Rebecca recalled. “His mother told me to pack her stuff, and she will come get it because she is now going to be housing the mistress.”

Rebecca had the grace to pack up all her stuff in trash bags. Over the next three weeks, she also packed up her and her son’s belongings to get ready to move out. They filed for divorce, and she was granted full custody of their child. Their divorce was not finalized until Valentine’s Day 2023.
But during that whole period of three weeks, her ex-husband was still seeing the girl. He was “working” when he was supposed to be home. When Rebecca called him, he never answered the phone.
So, she called the police to have them do a welfare check on him. She gave them the last known location of his car. An officer was sent to check where he was and caught him with the girl.
When her husband returned home, he was annoyed that she had called the police on him. Fast forward to Christmas, and she had moved out with her son. They flew to Nevada to spend the holidays with her mom.
A few weeks later, she found out that the girl had moved into her house with her ex-husband as soon as she had moved out. A few weeks after that, her ex-husband accidentally revealed that his mistress was pregnant and that the baby was due in the first week of October.
They got married the summer before their baby was born, five or six months after his and Rebecca’s divorce.
“She didn’t actually graduate high school, though she claims she did,” Rebecca said. “And mind you, this man has nieces and nephews in the same grade as her in high school.”
Later, Rebecca found out that the girl had divorced him and left him with the baby. Now, not only is he raising his mistress’s second kid by himself, but he has a new girlfriend and is helping raise her two daughters as well. Meanwhile, he has turned his back on his first child.
