When TikToker Beth (@beth.machos) was three years old, her parents bought a house in the middle of nowhere in East Tennessee. The house was built in 1908.
Its previous owners were two elderly women who had lived there all their lives. They sold the house because they wanted to downsize. It was a two-story white house surrounded by a creek with a wooded backyard.
When Beth was around five years old, a Native American couple moved in next door. One day, they drove over to introduce themselves. Only the man got out to chat, while the woman stayed seated in the vehicle, staring toward the house.
A few minutes later, the woman kept saying they had to go, so they left abruptly. The interaction left Beth’s parents confused. The next day, the woman called them, apologizing for their sudden departure.
Then, she asked if anyone had ever died from a head injury in their house.
Beth’s mom had no idea but said she would call the two ladies they bought the house from and find out. When she explained the situation, the sisters grew quiet.
Finally, one of the ladies revealed that they had grown up in a big family with lots of kids. One day, they were all playing baseball in the front yard, and their little brother accidentally got hit in the head. At the time, it didn’t seem severe. No one thought much of it. He simply shook it off, and they went back to playing.
That night, they went to bed as usual. But the next morning, their little brother didn’t wake up. Sadly, he had died of a brain bleed from his head injury.
Armed with that information, Beth’s mom called the new neighbor back and told her what the two ladies had said. The neighbor was not surprised that her sixth sense had been right.

She told Beth’s mom that the little boy was still there in the house, along with some others. Of course, Beth’s mom freaked out at first, not knowing what she meant.
But as time went on, the ghostly activity in the house became increasingly clear. This old, peaceful house in the woods was still holding onto pieces from its past.
In the comments section, some TikTok users shared about their own spooky experiences in haunted houses.
“I would like to know the history of the house that I grew up in. Whatever was there was not friendly. The top two things that scared me badly were when I had a deer head fly across the room and slam into the foot of my bed. Then, about a few months later, I saw a tall, dark shadow going along the living room wall toward the living room closet. There is a history of a high amount of divorces in that place,” commented one user.
“My grandparents bought an old convalescent home in Hawaii, completely made out of lava rock, to raise their nine children in. That was a scary house!!” exclaimed another.
