If your spouse lied about their whereabouts and actually went on a vacation without inviting you to go too, what would you do? Would you feel like you could never trust them again?

This woman is 10 weeks into her second pregnancy, and her husband let her know a couple of weeks ago that he had to go to New York City for a work trip.

Her husband usually travels for his job, so she didn’t find this suspicious in the least. But she did find it weird that he would not tell her what time his flight was leaving or landing, nor did he disclose details regarding his return trip.

“Never gave a straight answer, and he loves to throw out the ‘you’re nagging’ line when I dig deeper for a direct answer. I don’t have access to his email or other personal accounts, so I’m limited on other ways to figure out what’s going on,” she explained.

She immediately lost her trust in her husband when he wouldn’t give her information about his trip, and she was able to use their toddler’s iPad to access her husband’s emails.

In there, she made a shocking discovery: her husband booked an Airbnb in Mexico, not New York City, and he planned a whole vacation without her. No wonder he was being so evasive!

She decided to confront her husband over FaceTime about his lie, and she recorded the call in case she needs evidence for later.

“He was super dodgy about showing me the view from his ‘hotel’ window and said he was tired. Told him to flip the camera, then, and he refused to show the actual window,” she added.

She was exhausted from his lies, and outright asked her husband why he was in Mexico when he told her he was going to New York City for work.

Her husband simply said he desperately needed to go on vacation. He didn’t apologize or act sorry in the least. Instead, he acted like he didn’t care at all about her being so hurt.

“I told him to enjoy his trip and only correspond with me via text regarding our son. I’m looking at my out now. I don’t see forever with him,” she continued.

The thing is, she would have given her husband permission to go on a solo vacation, so she doesn’t understand why he felt the need to lie to her about this.

Oh, and this is hardly the first time he’s lied to her; their marriage has been on the rocks for a while because of his behavior. She’s caught him sending messages to other women, and still, she’s done her best to forgive him.

But ultimately, she knows there is no bouncing back from his latest lie, so she’s ready to leave him.

I’m thinking he might not be alone on his vacation. Regardless, this is a divorce-worthy lie, and if I were her, I would waste no time calling a lawyer about getting a divorce.

It might even be a good idea to just have the paperwork ready to go and let him come home to that.

What advice do you have for her?
