A woman who goes by @findingmyselfat40 on TikTok found out that her husband was cheating on her exactly a year ago, but she didn’t want to leave him because she was interested in keeping their family whole.
Her husband led her to believe that they were working on their marriage, when, meanwhile, he was still carrying out the affair behind her back, which she uncovered last November.
She still stuck by his side, and back in January, she discovered for the third time that her husband was continuing his affair. Her husband and his affair partner emailed back and forth to keep it a secret from her.
“She was sending him emails saying that, ‘I hope you don’t kiss her at midnight,’ little did she know that [he] and I were still having a marital relationship at that point, because he was telling her otherwise,” @findingmyselfat40 explained in her video.
“He was telling her all of the horrible things about me, and having his cake and eating it too. So finally, after I discovered it for the third time is when things were officially over; I have since filed for divorce just a few weeks ago.”
She did try mediation, which failed, and then her husband’s mistress took out a restraining order against her, which the judge granted.
She emailed her husband’s boss to tip him off to the affair and tell him about how her husband and his mistress were stealing hours from the company and conducting an inappropriate relationship (and this was a job she got for her husband; his affair partner was also his coworker).
Her husband’s mistress spun this as @findingmyselfat40 attacking her livelihood as a single mom while damaging her professional reputation, which was included in the affidavit for the restraining order.
Also included were two text messages. She had messaged her husband his mistress’s address to let him know that she knew where he was, which really was something the judge got stuck on and said made it clear she was somehow a threat to the mistress.

And the final message she sent to her husband was stating he would pay for something after she caught his mistress at his new place while she was dropping off a housewarming basket for him.
Her husband’s mistress was granted a year-long restraining order against her, and @findingmyselfat40 mentioned that the judge wasn’t interested in hearing her side of the story.
“So, now, along with my divorce proceedings, for the rest of a full year, until this time 2027, I’m to have no contact with her, which is totally fine by me; I can’t be near her,” @findingmyselfat40 continued.
“…I was just hoping that I had enough evidence to show that I never confronted her…I mean, a betrayed spouse, you’d think I could have gone smash up her car or done anything.”
“Never like that went after her, and the fact that she was using communications between my husband and [me], in which those communications, I never said her name, I never threatened her, I never do any of those things, so really just [angers] me about the justice system, because where is the justice?”
