The Panda’s not are not going to be happy about this one. Incase’s lastest addition to their line of ever growing iPhone cases is now made of 40% bamboo. The Bamboo Slider is comprised of 40% bamboo pulp created from reclaimed bamboo shards of materials such as construction scaffolding and chopsticks. However 60% is still made of good old polycarbonate (plastic). It functions the same as the other Incase Sliders and comes in 4 colors: Mushroom, Beet, Olive, and Eggplant. The Bamboo Slider retails for $34.95.

To be honest I think it’s a good thing that they are reusing scraps of bamboo material to make their cases. Especially when most the remnants from construction work is just thrown out. I’d be concerned if Incase was going out and chopping down boatloads of bamboo just for their cases. They are reusing, so that is good.
Now if they do away with the little bits of leather they have started using (no clue why) then they’d be doing pretty good. Their new ECO-cases use eco friendly materials, but they have bits of leather on them. How exactly is that eco friendly?

I fail to see how this is harming the Pandas…If anything, it’s good for them because it’s using material that was destined for the trash pile in the first place.
