“She will be having surgeries throughout her life,” Priscilla’s mom wrote. “Her body won’t go through puberty like others would.”
“She will have scars practically all over her body. With the treatment we decided to go with for her skin, she should have less of that “spider web looking skin” (my words), and more of scars of lines were the old skin and new skin lines up at but will have some of that normal skin grafting that people see in some places (surgeon’s words).”
“She will have years with her body in full wraps. She will probably never be able to play an “organized school sport” (surgeon’s words).”
“But he said he will never say never because kids are always surprising him. And support systems are what’s important the most and it seems like she already has a great support system.”
