A 10-Year-Old’s Friends Asked If She Could Come Play Next Door Then She Came Home Covered In Blood, Bleach, And Bruises

Hours after Brittany made her post, the Elizabethton Police Department released a redacted initial report from Callie’s case.

“I have a redacted initial report attached regarding the assault of the juvenile,” Jason Shaw, the Chief of Police, said in a statement.

“There is an ongoing investigation on the serious and troubling situation. The victim is a juvenile and involved suspects are juveniles.”

“This is a delicate matter that we do take seriously. Our investigators are taking the necessary steps to properly investigate that include review evidence, properly interview, consult with the district attorney, the juvenile court, and child protective services.”

“We want to ensure the case is handled properly for all parties that are involved. The suspect juveniles will receive the appropriate charges after the investigation is complete.”

An update made to the change.org petition that was started to charge Callie’s abusers as adults instead of juveniles states that the girls that abused Callie have been arrested.

“The juveniles that beat Callie have been arrested and are at a juvenile detention center however the mother has not been arrested yet for her acts of videoing everything that happened,” Karah Taylor said in an update.

“The mother deserves prison just as much as those girls do.”

The Elizabethton Police Department has yet to publicly say that Callie’s abusers have been arrested.
