Teen Out Riding Her Bike Hit And Killed By A Driver Who Never Even Stopped To Help Her

Dundalk, Maryland. 16-year-old Jayden Baldree was about to start her junior year of high school this upcoming fall.

“She loved listening to music, painting, skating, and working at her dream job at Skateland,” her obituary reads.

Jayden has been described by her loved ones as a funny, vibrant, bubbly, amazing, and bright young woman.

It was a few nights ago on July 19th that Jayden was out riding her bike a little after midnight.

As Jayden rode down Northpoint Boulevard, she neared Baltimore Street and a driver approached her bike from behind.

The driver was in the same lane as her, and they hit her bike from the back, running her over.

“Baldree was traveling northbound along Northpoint Boulevard near Baltimore Street when a car traveling in the same lane struck her from behind and fled the scene,” the Baltimore County Police said in a statement.

“The teen did not survive.”

The driver of the car never stopped to see if Jayden was alright. Instead, they kept driving off into the dark.

Police officers later found the driver’s car, a 2005 Acura with the license plates taken off, on Eastbrook Avenue and Baltimore Street.

“On Monday, July 19, 2021, this talented, beautiful, bright spirited soul was killed in a hit and run at the young age of 16,” a GoFundMe page created for Jayden’s family reads.

“Jayden was full of life and didn’t deserve to have her life taken away from her so soon. I’m making this go fund me to help my brother and sister-in-law with the cost of the funeral expenses, as this tragedy was totally unexpected.”

“Jayden will be missed and loved by so many. Her smile would light up a room and she was always willing to give a helping hand to those in need. Any donation is appreciated.”
