Her Brother Stole Money From Her And Now Expects Her To Use Her Wedding Fund To Pay For A Surgery Her Niece Needs
A 30-year-old woman has a 43-year-old brother named Thomas who really has been pretty awful to her in the past.
Their dad and uncle ended up inheriting two pieces of property from their grandpa, and the piece that was given to her dad was supposed to be sold, with the money being split down the middle for her and Thomas.
Well, Thomas turned around and sold the property without her even knowing, and he pocketed all of the profits. She never saw a dime, and she was not able to go after him to get it because at the time she was a struggling college student.
Additionally, her sister-in-law (Thomas’s second wife that he married when his first wife passed away) threatened to never let her see her niece again.
She used to be the person who took care of her niece when she was a young child, and it was important to keep her in her life.
Despite the threats, she chose to stop contacting Thomas and his wife because it turned out that she was unable to keep having a relationship with her niece.
Her niece is currently 16-years-old, and she has a health problem that caused her to need her first surgery at just 1-year-old.
Although Thomas really did screw her over, her uncle ended up disowning Thomas and giving her the property that he owned.
She sold that property and she used some of that money to pay for things she needed. She saved the rest to use for her upcoming wedding.

Not too long ago, she surprisingly heard from Thomas. She talked to him several times, and every time she did speak to him he brought up the fact that her niece is having problems again with the health issue she has.
Thomas then wondered if she would like to spend some time with her, but she’s hesitant to do that right now.
“After few more conversations, he said he needs help paying for her upcoming surgery and asked if I could help with money,” she said.
Thomas apparently knows about her uncle’s property that she sold and the money she got from it. He also knows she is saving that money to pay for her wedding.
A mutual friend that she has with Thomas was the one who spilled the beans to him. This mutual friend also turned around and told her that Thomas blew the money from his property on things like lavish golf vacations.
Thomas currently is in debt and can’t afford to cover her niece’s medical costs.
She declined to pay for her niece’s medical bills, but Thomas kept pushing and insisted she should call off her wedding and use that money instead to help her niece.
She pointed out to Thomas that he stole money from her and it caused her to struggle financially for some time.
She then told him she could have gone after him for the money, to which Thomas replied she still could do that but then her niece will be her problem because he will end up in jail.
“He said I could hate him all I want but he’s just asking for my niece,” she said. “He pressured me to go see her but I felt highly uncomfortable doing that.”
“We had a heated argument after he tried to get my fiancé to postpone the wedding. I ended up telling him to leave and he said it was okay, we’ll talk again but I said all I had to say yet he let my friends know and they asked what’s wrong with me prioritizing wedding over my niece?”
Thomas didn’t leave her alone after that and sent her an email still trying to get her to pay for her niece.
“He said he’d pay me back with his wife’s inheritance once her father passes which he doesn’t know when but he hoped soon enough,” she continued.
“I’m still dumbfounded by what he said.”
Having a nice wedding is so important to her because she did struggle so much with student loan debt and has not been able to splurge on vacations or things she wanted to buy for herself.
“I’m 30 and feel like life already passed me by. If I let Thomas get my wedding fund then I’ll have to start saving for my wedding.”
