She Wants To Take Apart The Gorgeous Diamond Necklace Her Grandma Left Her To Make An Engagement Ring And Her Mom Is Heartbroken Over It

Her mom is not ok with her ruining the necklace in order to make an engagement ring out of it and to top things off, her mom feels it’s her boyfriend’s responsibility to buy her a ring if he wants to propose.

Her mom also feels that her boyfriend should be financially contributing more since she is the one who’s now basically the breadwinner.

She then pointed out that her grandma left her mom around 20 different pieces of jewelry when she died.

Her mom has all of these pieces locked away in a security deposit box at the bank, and it’s in her mom’s name.

Among the pieces of jewelry is the diamond necklace her grandma willed to her.

She truly feels her mom should let her do as she pleases with the necklace, especially since she has a ton of other heirloom pieces.

She also is upset by the fact that her mom let her brother have their grandma’s engagement ring to give to his girlfriend when he proposed to her.

“Because of this, I was completely taken aback when I was told I couldn’t do the same…I do love my grandmother deeply and I wanted the diamond so I could look at my hand and think of her,” she continued.

“She had one of the biggest hearts so I thought it would be fitting to use something of hers that symbolizes love.”

“Instead, it just sits in a bank security box along will all of my mother’s other valued material possessions.”
