She Donated Her Engagement Ring That Belonged To Her Ex’s Grandma To Her Friend So He Could Auction It Off To Raise Money To Make An Orphanage

A woman says she has a friend who is looking to hold an auction so he can raise enough money to make an orphanage back in the country he is from.

When he asked her if she could donate something to the auction, she said she could give him her engagement ring.

She was engaged, but she and her ex broke up three years ago.

She still has the engagement ring because her ex has not made an effort to get it back, though she has made several attempts to return it to him.

She has tried to reach out to him over the years to say she will send it to him. He never replied, and then she asked if she could sell it, but he still did not reply.

Now that it’s been 3 whole years, she thought it would be a good idea to give it to her friend’s auction because at least it’s going to a good cause.

Although her ex has never answered her after multiple attempts to get in touch with him about the ring, she thought it would be fair to let him know for one last time what she is going to be doing with it.

She texted her ex to say she would be giving her ring to her friend’s auction, and then after he failed to respond, she moved forward with donating it.

She then sent her ex a second text to tell him she had gone through with it, and he still never replied.

Weeks went by, and you can imagine how surprised she was this past weekend to find her ex standing at her door.

He was livid, and she couldn’t believe he found her house because she never told him where she had moved to.

He insisted that she needed to return the engagement ring he gave her, even though she had already given it to her friend at this point and she reminded him of that before pointing out she had contacted him several times about giving it back.

“He asked me if I had any idea how much that ring was worth and reminded me it was his grandmother’s,” she said.

“I told him if the ring was so important to him that he should’ve responded to my messages or came to collect it since he obviously knew where I lived.”

“He told me he gave it to me because it was so important, but if he had known t I would be so spiteful to give it away he would’ve come back for it.”

Her ex continued to argue with her, before threatening her by saying she was going to regret things if she did not manage to have the ring returned to him.

She explained to him that he would have the opportunity to get the ring back by bidding on it since it was going to be in the auction.

Her sister thinks she’s terrible for what she did, but to be fair, she did reach out to her ex a few times to try to give the ring back to him.

“He also can 100% afford to bid and win it back, so I don’t feel as bad about refusing to ask for it back since his money will go to a worthy cause,” she concluded.
