The Woman In The Woods
“I was driving home after an extremely late night at work, I lived in the middle of nowhere, about a mile before I got there a woman covered in blood jumped out of the woods into the middle of the road screaming.”
“I panicked and went around her then slammed on the breaks to help. Her boyfriend had beaten her and was currently chasing after her in the woods.”
“I got her in my car and called the police, they met us at the hospital because I told them there was no way I was waiting on the side of the road when he was coming.”
Toddler Clothes
“Hiking and fishing a creek in a remote area. I was 16 and fishing with 2 of my uncles. As I was making my way up a rock pile I came upon something that made me freeze and call to my uncles. It was a little child’s clothes, laid out on a boulder.”

“It was a frilly dress, bloomers, socks, and shoes laid out on a rock as if the child wearing them had vanished in them. Socks still inside shoes. Bloomers partly tucked up inside the hem of the dress. The clothes looked to be for a toddler around 3-4.”
“We stood there, looking at the clothes, asking each other questions that we had no answer to. Why would someone lay the clothes out like that?”
“Who would bring a child in a dress like this so far into the wilderness? The clothes looked to be in very faded condition meaning they had been there a while. Weeks at least. If such care was taken to lay the clothes out, why were they forgotten?”
“It was so odd and disturbing. We noted the location and after the 4-mile hike back to the road. We reported what we found to the rangers.”
A Shack That Burned To The Ground
“Back when I was a kid, I lived on an old country roadway in the woods. We were surrounded by woods on all sides and you could easily get lost in there. There were old stone walls along 1600’s and 1700’s property lines, and logging paths from the mid-1900s. I used to go exploring those trails.”
“During one of those “expeditions”, I happened to find an old shack on a stone foundation. Stone foundations were actually pretty common to find out in the woods, but finding anything still standing was rare.”
“You could tell this shack was rebuilt (poorly) around 1900 or so. I decided to venture in and see if I could find anything neat. I found a lot of claw marks, what looked like bloodstains, and an incredibly creepy-looking effigy on the floor in the back.”
“It was basically this crude-looking figure made of various small animal bones. I threw a rock at it and got the hell out of there. I tried to get a friend to venture back in there with me but nobody wanted to go, plus it was getting dark. I went back a few days later and the shack had been burned to the ground. Explain that one.”
