She’s Only Inviting Her Parents To Her Wedding To Attend As Guests And She Has A Good Reason For Not Wanting Them More Involved

Despite that threat, her grandparents went ahead with telling her, but they reassured her that they would be helping her pay for college.

After she learned this, she never looked at her parents the same again, and since they had their hands full with her cousins, she became an afterthought.

Her cousins grew up, and they began college, at which point her parents suddenly started thinking about her.

She was not keen on being close to them in light of what had happened, so she never did more than call them from time to time.

Well, she recently got engaged, and her wedding is happening soon. Since she is not close to her parents, she is having her grandpa be the one to walk with her down the aisle.

Meanwhile, her grandma is going to be doing everything that a bride’s mom would normally do at a wedding.

She has invited her parents to attend her wedding, but only in a guest capacity.

They aren’t going to be more involved than showing up and sitting in the crowd, and she made that quite clear to them when she hand-delivered their invitations to her wedding.

Her parents were upset with her for not including them, but she told them the reasoning behind her decision.

“Now they are trying to apologize but it is too little too late for me,” she said. “My cousins contacted me trying to make me take it back, offered me what was left in their college funds since they didn’t know that I didn’t have one to make it fair.”

She wouldn’t accept that from her cousins, since it was never financially motivated for her. She feels her parents didn’t give her the emotional attention she so needed growing up, and that’s why they’re not included in her wedding.
