His Daughter Wanted To Wear Something Totally Inappropriate To A Wedding So He Told Her To Find Her Own Ride There After She Refused To Change
One dad has 3 daughters, ages 19, 24, and 28. His youngest daughter named Jill recently began going to community college.
His older daughters are out of the house now and working in their chosen careers, so Jill is the only one living at home with him and his wife.
Last weekend, this dad, his wife, and Jill were set to attend his niece’s wedding, which was a few hours away from their house.
He mentioned that his niece asked her guests to dress in semi-formal attire, so women were supposed to wear dresses, and men were supposed to wear suits.
“As we were getting ready to leave, Jill was taking her sweet time getting ready and I was kind of nagging at her to get going,” he explained.
“She had been out late the night before with friends and I’m sure she was feeling the effects of that.”
“When she was finally ready to go, she was wearing some kind of black, spaghetti strap halter-top thing with leggings.”
Obviously, Jill didn’t put on anything that fit with the dress code of the wedding, and so this dad did something about it.
He told Jill her outfit choice was inappropriate for her cousin’s wedding, and he said that she needed to find another outfit, fast.

“She told me she doesn’t have anything else to wear and that I don’t get to police what she’s wearing,” he said.
“I told her that judging by the amount of dirty clothes on her floor and in her closet, she clearly has other options, she just didn’t plan ahead enough to figure something out.”
“I told her it was disrespectful to her cousin, the bride, to wear something too revealing and tacky to their wedding.”
Jill got mad at him and accused him of being rude to her. She tried to say nobody would care what she had on, and she tried to argue with him further.
He shut her down by saying if that’s how she felt, she could find her own ride to the wedding because it was no longer his issue.
“She asked what that meant and I told her that if that’s what she wants to wear, she is going to have to find her own way to the wedding because I am not going to arrive with my daughter looking like she is about to hit a club at 2 am instead of attend her cousin’s wedding,” he continued.
Then, his wife intervened, telling them that they both had to cool off. His wife also thought he was being too controlling, before admitting she didn’t think Jill was dressed right for the occasion either.
His wife offered to help Jill pick something else out, but Jill was not having it. She stormed off to her room, despite the fact that they were all set to leave in 15 minutes, or they would be late.
He reminded Jill that she didn’t have much time left to change, but she screamed at him through her closed bedroom door.
He still waited around to see if Jill could get it together but after 20 minutes had passed and she didn’t come out, he entered her room to see what was going on.
Jill was no closer to being ready to leave, and she hadn’t found an appropriate outfit, so he made it clear to his wife that he was leaving without Jill.
His wife wondered what Jill was going to do at that point, and he said it was up to Jill to figure things out and get to the wedding because they had to leave.
His wife wasn’t happy about all this, but she did get in the car with him while Jill stayed behind in their house.
In the end, Jill missed her cousin’s wedding entirely, and now Jill and his wife think it’s all his fault.
