Her Boyfriend Insists That He Made Dinner For Her Family Entirely By Hand, But She Knows He Just Fed Them KFC And Lied About It

A 33-year-old woman is in a relationship with her boyfriend, who is 23, and not that long ago they decided to move in with one another.

She figured that since they now are living together, it would be a good idea for him to finally meet her mom and dad.

She picked an evening for her parents to come to their place for dinner, and the plan was that she was going to make dinner for them.

Unfortunately, while she was at work that day, something came up and she had to stay late on the night her mom and dad were coming over.

“I asked my boyfriend if he wanted to reschedule, but he said it would be “no sweat” to handle dinner,” she explained.

“Since we’ve been together he’s mentioned being a really good cook so I was actually quite excited to try his cooking.”

She finished up work that evening, picked up her mom and dad, and brought them over to her place.

When they all walked into her apartment, she was happy to see that everything looked wonderful and her boyfriend got along well with her parents.

Her boyfriend had also made an effort to arrange some snacks for her mom and dad, and so they all sat down to chat with one another.

Although she did think things were off to a great start, she did notice that her boyfriend was acting…not quite like himself.

After chatting for some time, her boyfriend got up from his seat and asked everyone in a silly accent if they were ready to have dinner.

Everyone entered the kitchen, and she still thought that her boyfriend wasn’t acting right.

“Already set out on the table were plates filled with fried chicken and salad,” she said. “The salad I would say he clearly made however the chicken was obviously store-bought, and I would swear from KFC.”

“We all just looked around at each other before sitting down and starting to eat in silence, I was so embarrassed.”

“My boyfriend looked in high spirits until my Dad broke the silence and said it looked “Finger-lickin’ good” at which point he clearly became agitated.”

Her mom and dad left their apartment not long after her dad made this comment and her boyfriend got upset, however, they seemed to have been entertained by the whole thing.

She did confront her boyfriend about the food after her parents left, but he swore up and down that he made the chicken all by himself.

“I asked how he managed to fry 40 pieces of chicken and he just says it’s a chef’s secret and that he finds my questioning insulting (for reference, he washes dishes at a restaurant so he does have a bit of kitchen experience),” she continued.

“I’m not sure where to go from here, he becomes very defensive if I try bring it up with him, how should I talk to him about this? I’ve never seen him act like this before.”

She’s questioning if he really could have made so much chicken all by himself, especially since their apartment did not smell like he cooked anything in it at all.

On top of this, she doesn’t even own any pots that would be large enough for her boyfriend to have fried up that many pieces of chicken.
