She Said Something Nasty To Her Friend After Learning That She Was Not Invited To Her Wedding

Then, after a couple of weeks passed, the woman mentioned that her invite never showed up. Her best friend responded with, “lol, keep waiting.”

“So, I did, but it still did not come a week later. Finally, she realized that I was actually expecting an invitation and said she did not understand why I would want to come. She said I do not know any of her family and that they are kind of racist anyway,” the woman said.

Understandably, she was dumbfounded.

“Up until this point, I was really excited to be there for her big day,” the woman said. She had planned to treat her best friend to various stress-relieving pre-wedding treats– like lunches and massages. Besides that, though, she has no idea why her friend would lead her on.

“I have multiple texts where I say how excited I am to meet up finally, and she always said ‘yes!’, ‘same!’ or some variation,” the woman explained.

After thinking about the situation, she did bring it up to her best friend.

“I’ll be honest; I became getting emotional. Then, she said I could fly out, but I could not go to the wedding. I don’t know what it was, but that really pissed me off,” the woman said.

She ended up telling her best friend off about a week ago and has not heard from her since. Now, she regrets cursing her out but is still lost on how to express her feelings.

“It might seem childish, but I was really looking forward to this. It just hurts that I thought she was excited for me to come meanwhile she really wasn’t,” the woman said.

Confused and upset, this woman has enlisted the Reddit community to help. Do you believe that she was in the wrong for expecting an invitation to her best friend’s wedding?

How would you have handled this situation?
