Seeing him homeless was a far cry from how she had known him to be all those years ago, and her ex-fiancé then told her that he ended up on the streets from paying for that other girl’s medical expenses and bills.
“My BF is the type to help however in need so he offered some money and my ex gladly took it and left us to our night,” she said.
“I was in shock and I don’t know how to deal with this new information. My ex’s parents are both deceased and all of his friends live in a different city. I don’t even think his friends know if his situation.”
She wondered if she should try to go back and help her ex, though her boyfriend believes that trying to help him too much could negatively impact their lives.
“We want to get married soon and I don’t feel comfortable letting him stay at my house,” she continued.
“I was thinking of messaging his friends but don’t want to like drop the responsibility on them either. It’s tough because some people tell me it’s not my responsibility to take care of him but others feel bad for him and think I should do something.”
