He Showed Up To A Date 10 Minutes Late And She Left Before He Got There So He Broke Down

He waited around…then noticed he was not at the place he was supposed to be. As soon as that dawned on him, he sent his date a text pointing out that he was at the wrong place.

He said that he was really sorry for being late now and gave her an update on his ETA. His date also happened to be running late, so he figured there wouldn’t be a problem.

“I was about 10 away when she texted that she’d reached our meetup point and asked where I was,” he said.

“I told her like 10 away and she replied that she couldn’t wait and that she was leaving. I was jumping turnstiles trying to catch my train.”

He saw her text 2 minutes after she had sent it to him, and he was only one subway stop from the correct location.

He immediately texted her to say sorry again before requesting that she wait for him since he was so close.

“She replied, “I left. Sorry.” I asked her if we could reschedule for another day. No reply,” he continued.

“I got off the train at the designated meetup spot, stunned slightly. In a daze, I took another random train cause I had no other plan for the evening.”

“On the train, I was suddenly overcome by emotion. I had been on two dates recently where the girl was late by 20-30 minutes on average. Both times, I waited for them, didn’t kick up a stink when I met them, accepted their apology (not needed), and had a great time with them.”

“So I broke down on the train slightly because I was confused.”

He couldn’t figure out if he was a massive jerk for making an honest mistake, or if all the girls that he had previously gone on dates with were truly terrible, or if he was just someone who let people walk all over him and waste his precious time.
