She Told Her Dad That The $5,000 He Gave Her As A Graduation Gift Just Isn’t Good Enough

“He could see that I was upset and asked me if it wasn’t enough in an irritated tone,” she continued.

“I told him that it wasn’t as he didn’t even know what I liked to buy something I would like and I was getting way less than my brother got as always. I told him I didn’t want his money and left.”

Later on, her dad sent her a pretty lengthy text message pointing out that he would have been happy to give her a nicer graduation gift if she had buckled down and actually studied in college.

Her brother worked hard enough to get a scholarship to help pay for his college education, and in comparison, she “barely” got accepted to the college she just graduated from.

She feels stiffed too that her dad paid for her college education while she had a part-time job to pay her living expenses, yet her dad paid for her brother’s bills and an apartment too.

Her dad has refused to say a single word to her since she told him she felt that $5,000 wasn’t enough for a graduating gift, and she’s kind of feeling like an ingrate.

Do you think she was out of line for telling her dad that her graduation gift just wasn’t enough money for her?
