“He thinks I too belong to the class he belongs to as he assumed by my clothing style and the way I was IDK why he assumed that,” she said.
“In reality, my family or even I do not even make 1/4th of what he spends. I saved some money to visit him for a couple of weeks as he lives on the other side of the country. And I was amazed by his lifestyle.”
“Now I feel so insecure about telling him the truth as I am afraid it might affect our relationship.”
It’s been months since she went to visit her boyfriend, and she has still not disclosed to him that they come from very different families and financial statuses.
She didn’t start liking her boyfriend because he’s rich, and she wasn’t even initially aware that he was well-off.
She’s afraid that if she finally owns up to the secret that she is keeping, her boyfriend will assume she’s a gold digger.
“It would be hard to tell him I purely fell for him and not his status or money,” she continued. “He wants us to move into his new apartment but I feel I shouldn’t because I may have been a liar by now.”
“I really love him and what we have but I am afraid if everything goes downhill.”
How can she tell her boyfriend the truth about her family not coming from money at all?
