Her Dad Spent About $2 Million Dollars On His Mistress And She’s Not Sure How To Tell Her Mom There’s Nothing Of Their Assets Left

A 34-year-old woman has recently found herself in an impossible situation after her 77-year-old dad passed away several weeks ago.
A year earlier, her dad did suffer from a heart attack. Nearly a month ago, her dad had a second heart attack and even though he was taken to a nearby hospital, he passed away hours after arriving there.
“The revelation that the call to 911 was placed at 2 am from the apartment of a 31-year-old woman was the start of many, many revelations regarding my father’s doings,” she explained.
Her dad was still married to her mom when he passed away, and 3 years ago, her mom did have a stroke. After her mom’s stroke, her mom suffered from partial paralysis and intellectual disabilities.
Her dad then decided to obtain power of attorney over her mom, and she was, in turn, made the successor agent.
As soon as her dad passed away, she began looking into her mom and dad’s financial situation so she could ensure that her mom could be provided for after her dad’s death.
She started going through her dad’s things and realized that he was having a long-standing affair with this woman who had called 911 the day of his second heart attack.
“…After looking extensively into his computer and phone history, as well as me compiling bank statements, investment, and other asset information, I nearly doubled over in shock,” she said.
“Messages to this woman began 6 years ago, before my mom’s stroke and when I knew for a fact that my mom looked like an infatuated teen whenever my father was around- she loved the man more than life.”

She learned that her dad spent crazy money on his mistress within the first couple of years of knowing her.
He bought her expensive jewelry, he supported her shopping at high-end department stores, and he even wired her hundreds of dollars with regularity.
When her mom suffered from her stroke, her dad’s spending on his mistress increased exponentially.
He bought lavish vacations, luxury cars, and jewelry for this other woman. He paid for this woman to go to college for 4 years, and he even paid for his mistress to go study in another country.
He maxed out credit cards. He sold his collection of memorabilia that was worth a lot of money. He took money out of investment accounts that contained money her mom had inherited.
As she dug deeper and deeper, she even found heartbreaking emails her dad sent to his mistress talking about how he wanted her mom to pass away.
All in all, her dad blew about $2 million dollars on his mistress, and to make matters worse, her dad ruined her mom’s credit and he hasn’t properly paid her mom’s caretaker, and her mom is about to lose her entire house that she will have to then owe more money on.
On top of all of this, she owes hospital bills for her dad and has to turn around and pay for his funeral, which amounts to $30,000.
She does have two brothers that used having families of their own as an excuse as to why they can’t step up and help out with their mom, so it’s all been dumped on her.
She and her fiancé are now left to pick up the pieces and financially support her mom, even though they don’t have extra money to spend.
Those who know the situation she now finds herself in have advised her to not breathe a word of this to her mom, as it will ruin the love her mom did have for her dad.
Her mom can understand many things despite her stroke, and if she does tell her mom that her dad destroyed everything, she will understand that.
“What is more- I tried hiring a private investigator to help recover the funds from the woman and she seems to no longer be in the state with no real assets or employment listed and we suspect she may attempt to leave the country or may even have already since she has citizenship over there,” she concluded.
Do you think she should tell her mom where the money went, or come up with an excuse like her older brothers told her to do?
