Her Son Accused Her Of Being An Awful Grandma To His Kids After She Bought A Present For Her Daughter’s Cats

“John recently came to me upset because I bought a new cat tree for Amber, who is fostering kittens,” she continued.

“He said that I have never done anything like that for his kids and that they could use a new jungle gym in the back yard or new toys too.”

“He became very cross with me and told me I was a terrible grandma and a horrible mom, and how it was typical of me to treat cats and dogs better than his kids.”

After John accused her of being an awful grandma, he left with his youngest child in tow and threatened to never come back to her house unless she decides to admit that she’s been hurting him with how she acted.

Following John’s blowup, she reached out to his wife, who revealed that John is really mad at her for not trying to do activities with their children that other grandmas do.

John’s wife said that John wishes that she would come over and take them for little trips or sit down and make artwork with them.

John believes that her lack of participation in the children’s lives in those ways means that she’s heartless, which certainly comes as a shock to her.

She’s tried to be as supportive of John and his family as possible. When John and his wife asked her to come to stay at their house when their first baby was about to be born, she was there.

She even paid for John’s children to go to preschool, and she steps up to babysit them when John and his wife need some time to just themselves.

She has tried to do what she thought was the most helpful all along throughout the lives of John’s children.

“To me, getting a cat tree is more for me to show Amber that I respect who she is and will never push her to be a mother if she doesn’t want to be. But to John, I guess it is a sign that I value kitties and puppies more than babies,” she concluded.
