Lia told her sister that she did not care about her outfit, yet she felt that the outfit she wanted to wear would make her classmates feel outshined and upset.
“She, unfortunately, didn’t have a chance to go to the prom in her day, but I think that’s not a good reason to wear such flashy things on a day when she shouldn’t outshine the students,” Lia said.
“She started a fight and said she was jealous because she is prettier than me and would wear more expensive and prettier clothes.”
Lia did get mad and replied that prom wasn’t her sister’s special day, it was for her and her classmates, and it wasn’t right for her sister to draw attention to herself like that. Her sister began sobbing.
Lia is left wondering if she’s mean for insisting that her sister not draw any kind of attention to herself at prom.
