She Finally Told Her Ex-Boyfriend That She Broke Up With Him Because He Spent Way Too Much Money On Her Throughout Their Relationship
A girl used to be in a relationship with her ex-boyfriend, and it lasted for approximately 2 months.
When she decided it was time to dump him, they surprisingly turned into friends, and right now, they’re basically attached at the hip.
She knows that her ex is an amazing guy, and she also is convinced that when he does find the right girl for him, that girl will feel so lucky to be in his life.
“As friends, we are fantastic,” she explained. “When we were together, I resented him. Now here’s the thing…he didn’t actually do anything wrong, per se. I will explain.”
“So, I don’t like it when people spend a bunch of money on me. It makes me super uncomfortable.”
In her past, a guy she dated and her own parents would make her feel bad and like she would have nothing if it were not for them buying her things.
Because of all that, she cannot stand when people choose to spend their money on her, and she always wants to buy things on her own.
Her ex was aware of her feelings about people spending money on her while they were together, and she did make sure to tell him that she would like him not to do this.
So although she constantly said to her ex that she wanted him to let her pay her own way, he could not allow her to do that.

One time while they were dating, her ex dropped over a thousand dollars taking her and her cousin on a trip to Rhode Island.
Every day throughout their relationship, her ex would stop at a popular coffee shop and purchase a pricey drink that she liked.
“He bought me a ring a promise ring after 2 months, saying, “I knew you would love this, so I had to get it,” and when I went to use his phone for music, he had the receipt pulled up, and it was $900 before tax,” she said.
“The ring was gorgeous. It was. But I asked him already at that point to stop. Expensive dinners, etc.”
“And to make it worse, I KNEW 100% that he couldn’t actually afford this. He was living in his mom’s garage at the time, paying her entire mortgage for her.”
Every time her ex did get her something or pay for her, she felt ashamed, and she did not hide that from him.
Second to the whole money situation, her ex constantly spent time at her house, and it was stifling. She could never have a moment alone.
Pretty recently, her ex revealed to her that even though they have not been in a relationship for 2 years, he does not get why she dumped him in the first place.
She made sure her ex wanted her to be truthful, and after he insisted that he did, she let him know why.
“He just got super quiet and said that most women would love that,” she continued. “And I said, yes, absolutely. Most women would!”
“I mean, c’mon, lots of women love being spoiled, but that’s not me, and he just dismissed that constantly.”
Her ex turned around and told one of their friends about her dose of honesty, and this friend is angry at her for being so brutally honest.
This friend thinks she should have “sugarcoated” her reason for not wanting to date her ex.
She also found out from this friend that her ex apparently is still in love with her too, which she had no clue about.
