After She Got Hit On For Hours By A Married Guy Named Steve, She Went On A Mission To Find His Wife To Let Her Know
It’s a common scene in the dating world: you go out to a bar, someone hits on you and tries to get you to go on a date. But the entire picture shifts when you find out that the guy hitting on you is married. TikToker Maddie Perry, @maddiemperry, encountered this exact problem.
Maddie was at a bar with her friends in Nashville, Tennessee, when she came across a group of guys who were celebrating a bachelor party.
But she gets drawn into their antics when one of the guys from the group wouldn’t stop coming up to her to flirt. Without any obvious signs, like a wedding ring, people don’t always assume that someone is married, especially if they’re out alone with a group of their single friends.
“Let’s just say he was hitting on me for over an hour,” she said–to which her friend corrected that it was “probably two hours.”
The guy she met, Stephen, wasn’t just being cute and flirting for fun. He was hard-core hitting on her and desperately trying to make sure that the night wouldn’t end for them at the bar.
He was “telling me that I should let him come home with me to my house,” she said. “When I said, ‘no,’ he said I was too much of a ‘good girl’ for him.”
But he didn’t stop there. When she turned him down, he offered up his place instead.
“He said, multiple times, that he had his own bed at the Airbnb and that I could come home with him.”

While all of this may not initially be completely odd at first, as he just seemed like a pushy guy, the entire lie that he created began to unravel slowly as the night went on.
“He was literally hitting on me so hard,” Maddie emphasized. “And then, someone said, ‘he’s married.'”
She didn’t believe it at first because of how much he was hitting on her and how he wasn’t wearing a wedding ring.
“There’s no way,” she said. But she turned to him and demanded that he show her a picture of his wife to prove that he was, in fact, married.
“She’s his lock screen,” Maddie said. “I said ‘show me your contact’– it said ‘wifey.'”
In absolute shock over what he was hiding, she called him “a piece of s***” because he was hitting on her when he already has a wife.
Maddie’s initial video was her “tell all” to Stephen’s wife, and she asked her followers to help find her and let her know.
“My goal with posting the original video was to let her know what happened just because if that was me, and my husband was out doing that, I would definitely want to know.”
Still, knowing that a guy who’s hitting on you is willing to cheat on his wife can’t seem to get much worse. Except it does. In a later video, she explains that she was able to reach his wife.
“We found his wife, and it is absolutely horrible,” she said. “She is pregnant. Due in…November.”
Although she wasn’t sure at first whether or not to contact the wife directly, she said in the last video of this three-part series that the message had definitely gotten back to the wife.
“I can confirm that the wife knows; she is aware of the video, she has seen it, she knows the situation,” Maddie said, even though she hadn’t been able to speak to the wife.
While we may never know how the entire rest of the story unfolds as it passes into private marital matters, TikTok may have helped this woman understand more about the man she married.
“The power of TikTok. It’s making it so much easier for cheaters to get caught,” Maddie closed with. “And I just love that women are sticking up for other women.”
