And upon arriving, he stood knocking on the front porch and waiting for his girlfriend to answer the door. She eventually did, but she refused to make eye contact and just stormed into the bedroom.
He obviously ran after her to talk, but then, he noticed that she had been in the middle of packing a bag. He was totally confused and asked where she was going, which caused his girlfriend to just burst into tears again and reveal that she was leaving.
His girlfriend also berated him for saying something like that after he “knew what it would do to her” and claimed that she needed some space.
So, his girlfriend ultimately left and has been staying at her mother’s house ever since. And now, he has absolutely no idea how to reconcile the situation and has been wondering if telling his girlfriend about how chicken nuggets are made was the wrong thing to do.
Do you think his girlfriend really was just joking, or was she trying to get under his skin? Did he have a right to make comments about her food, too, or did he stoop to her level? If you were in his shoes, how would you try to fix this situation?
