Influencer Steph Pappas Sadly Lost Her Dad And Family Dog In A Devastating Car Wreck

If you’re an avid YouTube fan, there’s a good chance you’ve seen one of Steph Pappas’ videos. If you’re unfamiliar with Steph, she is a content creator who got her start by making videos of her eating different foods and chatting on camera.

Steph is well known for her humor and the funny stories she tells while trying out a new fast food craze or getting her go-to order in the drive-through. She now has over 1.4 million subscribers on YouTube, and you can find Steph making cooking, lifestyle, and self-care content as well.

Steph started receiving a lot of views and love from the YouTube community when she started incorporating her family into her videos. The most popular special guest was her father, John Pappas.

Steph and John were often seen laughing and joking together. Fans all over the world could not get enough of their father-daughter videos.

“My dad has been a big part of my YouTube channel, my best friend, and the best dad anyone could ever have,” says Steph in a recent video.

Tragically, John Pappas died last month, and he was only 53-years-old.

According to a recent video made by Steph, John, her mom Kristine, and family dog, Cookie, were visiting her at her apartment on September 11th. They were having a typical visit together, laughing at videos, and making future plans.

Not long after her parents left with Cookie, Steph received a call from her mom with the news that they had been in a car accident.

While John and Kristine were driving home, they were hit head-on by a driver who veered into the opposing lane. John and Cookie were killed on impact. The driver is suspected to have been under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time. Kristine was thankfully able to make it out of the vehicle alive.

“It is a miracle my mom survived,” says Steph in her video. “It truly was. Even the police and everyone said that they don’t know how she walked out of that car.”

The accident was so terrible that right afterward, John was unrecognizable to Kristine. Steph recalls that she wasn’t allowed to see her father because of how horrible the crash was. Kristine told Steph over the phone that he “didn’t look like John anymore.”

The family is completely heartbroken and seeking support not only for funeral costs but for lawyer fees and funds to help keep Kristine on her feet as her life changes.

On a GoFundMe page written by Steph’s brother, Nick Pappas, he writes, “I am so grateful to have been raised by the perfect example of what a man should be. I’m thankful for each and every moment I spent with him. For his career advice, stupid jokes, and love for his family. Gone but never forgotten. We’ll miss you, Dad.”

Since the nightmarish accident, Steph has since posted the sweetest tribute videos for her father on her social media platforms. Thousands of fans have commented to share their support and recall fond memories of watching Steph and John together.

“I’m absolutely sobbing,” commented on YouTube user. “I have never felt so devastated for someone I never met.”

We are sending Steph and the Pappas family tons of support as they try to heal during this difficult time.
