She really did not want to, but she gave in and said yes anyway, just to make her father happy. From the start, though, she regretted her decision– because Jane totally overstepped her boundaries again.
“When I walked into the living room, Jane jumped up and gave me a hug– which got awkward really fast,” she explained. Then, Jane actually said that she was Jane and her father’s first daughter.
Obviously, she was totally taken aback and wasted no time in correcting Jane. She blurted out, “No, you’re my stepmother, not my mom!”
And immediately, the room became dead silent and filled with awkward tension. It was at that point that her father also stepped in and demanded that she speak to him in her room.
While there, though, her father did not understand her feelings at all. She tried to explain how Jane was not her mother, so she refused to call her that name.
But her father just began screaming at her and accusing her of being ungrateful and spoiled.
Plus, her father even claimed she was acting like a selfish brat by not accepting that Jane and her stepsisters were her “new family.”
After that, she just could not hold back her emotions any longer and began crying and yelling about how bad of a father her dad was.
She also pointed out how he had a new family and claimed that Jane and her stepsisters would never be her family.
And it was at that moment that Jane heard everything she was saying and rushed into the room. Then, Jane said the unthinkable.
