Her Teen Daughter’s Friend Made A Comment About Her Weight During A Family Dinner, So She Banished The Friend From Their House Until They Apologize

Well, she did admit that she could just let it go. However, she still wants an apology from the teen anyway. Apparently, she “needs” to see that her daughter’s friend understands how rude the comment was before she allows her daughter to hang out with her.

At the same time, though, her husband thinks she is being ridiculous and just plain weird for insisting that a fourteen-year-old apologize to her– especially because the girl is such good friends with her daughter now.

“But I think it’s weird that I’m still waiting for an apology from that same girl. Seriously, that’s all I need. I just need to know that any friend of my daughter is willing to own up to her screw-ups,” she vented.

Despite her own perspective, though, her husband’s comments have started to get to her. So now, she’s been left wondering if banishing her daughter’s friend from their house until she receives an apology is justified or just crazy.

Have you ever ended up with your foot in your mouth at a dinner with people you don’t know well? Do you think her daughter’s friend probably already felt terrible after how awkward the rest of the meal was? Or do you believe that her friend should have apologized on the spot anyway? If you were in her shoes, how would you handle this situation?
