These aren’t just any regular old sugar cookies. These are Christmas cookies with a unique twist. And they are…melted snowman cookies! Melted snowman cookies are a splendid treat to enjoy on a cold and snowy winter day in the cozy warmth of your kitchen.

There’s no need for a cookie cutter or any fancy decorating tools for these baked goodies. The most important ingredient here will be the icing. And they will be the most adorable treat you’ve ever made, not to mention the kids will have a blast helping to decorate them.

TikToker @champagneang has a wonderful recipe that will help transform your average sugar cookie into a masterpiece. Here’s what you’ll need:

Ingredients:

-A stick of unsalted butter

-A cup of sugar

-A teaspoon of vanilla extract

-A teaspoon of almond extract

-An egg

-2 teaspoons of baking powder

-1/2 teaspoon of salt

-3 cups of flour

-1/2 cup of icing

-2 tablespoons of water

-Marshmallows and piping gel

Directions:

Start with creaming one cup of butter and one cup of white sugar.

In the same bowl, add a teaspoon each of vanilla extract and almond extract. Throw in one egg as well. All wet ingredients can be combined together.

Next, combine all the dry ingredients–baking powder, salt, and flour–in a separate bowl.

Then, slowly add the mixture in with the wet ingredients.

Bake the cookies at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for five to ten minutes. Afterward, take them out of the oven to begin the decorating process.

To create the look of melting snow, mix white icing with two tablespoons of water to thin it out a bit. The texture should still be somewhat thick and not runny at all. Use a spoon to spread a puddle of snow onto the cookie.

While the icing is still wet, place half a marshmallow on one side of the cookie. With some piping gel, draw on two black dots for coal eyes and an orange carrot nose.

This part is optional but for a final touch, spray on edible silver glitter on top of the white icing to create the appearance of sparkling snow.

Have a holly, jolly Christmas with these incredibly cute cookies!
